英语儿歌与英语教学
随着教学改革的趋势,愉快教学为广大的小学英语教师们认可并运用。音韵优美和谐、节奏轻快鲜明的英语歌曲,是学生学习的好帮手。而歌曲教学也当之无愧地成为愉快教学中强有力的一笔。如何进行歌曲教学,如何运用英语歌曲优化英语课堂教学?我有以下的几点看法:
一:如何进行英语儿歌教学
1.边唱边做
小学英语课本中的英语歌一般都较为简单,通常是用学生较熟悉甚至都会吟唱的旋律,来唱一些单元重点句型或单词。如果在学会了单词后教授歌曲更是能达到一听便会的效果。但过于简单的歌曲,学生唱时容易走神,有口无心的,起不到应有的作用。如果根据歌曲内容编一些富有童趣又易学的动作,让孩子们边唱边跳边做,对一些理解歌词还存在困难的学生,可以收到意想不到的效果。
如Eight Little Baby Ducks学生边吟唱,边用指头演示数字,还伴随着旋律做出小鸭走路的样子,真是妙趣横生。学生边唱边动,不时为做对动作而高兴,不时为别人的手忙脚乱而开心地哈哈大笑,简单的一首英语歌进行一番简单的修饰,让学生唱会了它也爱上了它。
2.量少质高
.英语歌教学的环境首先是英语课,而并非音乐课。所以,对待那些有难度的英语歌,教师们不必花半节课,甚至一节课的时间教学。我们不妨试试“少吃多餐”的方法:让学生每节课都有机会听几遍,而时间可以进行控制。学生可能只会跟音乐进行哼唱和模糊的发音,但孩子们在反复地聆听哼唱的同时,必然会逐渐地注意到其中的语言现象,进而自觉或不自觉地总结出一些简单的语言规律,如:爆破现象、连读现象等。长此以往,标准的发音和优美的旋律都不难追求。
3.词曲结合在教孩子们唱英语歌之前,教师把歌曲唱给他们听,也可用录音磁带放给他们听,让他们根据听到的旋律加以想像,可以问他们联想到了什么动物、人物、景色等,并要他们说出理由。也可以让他们根据歌曲编一个简单的故事。孩子们在听的同时,熟悉了曲调,还展开了丰富的想象。联想的对与错根本不重要,重要的是能让学生展开联想的翅膀,这是相当有意义的。同时,从别人的发言中,孩子们可以学到不同的思维方式及多种表达法。在教歌之前,教师可挑出部分重要单词及句型,逐个讲解给孩子听,然后让他们跟读。跟读几遍后,让他们听完整的歌曲,要求他们一听到刚才跟读过的词汇就拍一下手。这种方式可以训练儿童精确地听英语的能力。音乐本身也为孩子们提供了放松身心的机会,在这种身心状态下,学习可以达到极佳的效果。
二:如何运用英语歌曲优化英语课堂教学
1.利用歌曲来组织教学
在一堂课中,一开始的气氛可以影响整堂课的教学效果。以往的老师宣布上课(class begins),学生起立(stand up)的语文式英语组织教学模式,对活泼好动的小学生来说太死板了,而且拉远了教师与学生的距离。我认为可选择如“Hello, Peter!Hello, John!Hello, Linda!Hello, Tom!”这些简单的曲子,把其中Peter、John、Linda、Tom等名字换成另外的称呼,如Boys、Girls、Miss Li等。若在假日可唱一些由“Happy New Year、Merry Christmas”等歌曲转换而成的曲子。这样一来不仅达到了组织教学的目的,也提高了学生的学习兴趣,还培养了学生在英语交际中的语言感觉。
2.利用歌曲来训练各种能力
培养学生的听力和记忆力,这是一个难点。这里我们可以采用空出句子中较为重要的单词,然后让学生听录音,补全单词的方法,或教师先给出几个单词,让学生听歌曲,当听到给出的单词时就大声地跟读的方法,对这两项能力进行训练。同时还可以结合游戏、比赛进行,让学生在欢快的儿童歌曲中练习地更轻松。

一年级的一节英语活动课

生动的故事有利于激发孩子们学英语的兴趣和表演欲望,它还能拉近英语和学生之间的距离,使英语教学内容更加充实,教学形式更加生动活泼。因此,我在教学实践中会经常编一些小情景剧。下面介绍的是我根据一部英语短剧编写的小故事“小熊请客”,以及教学设计。
一、故事“小熊请客”(Little bear plays the host.)
在一座美丽的大森林里,住着一群可爱的小动物,有老虎(tiger),大象(elephant),熊猫(panda),猴子(monkey),狗熊(bear),小兔子(rabbit),小鸟(bird),还有很多很多小朋友们喜爱的小动物。
小熊(little bear)要在新年这天请客,瞧little bear多忙碌!他把水果摆到桌子上,有苹果(apple),桔子(orange),香蕉(banana),梨(pear),葡萄(grapes)等好多好多。
一大早,快乐的小鸟(bird)就飞来做客,小鸟说:“Happy new year.”就唱起了“Happy new year ”歌。一会儿,小白兔蹦蹦跳跳地出来了“I can jump.(我会跳)”他表演了一个小节目。小猴子随后而来:“I can climb up the tree.(我会爬树)”他的滑稽的爬样把大家逗得哈哈大笑。这时,一个带面具的小家伙来了,他说“I am fat.I am black and white.I have two big and round eyes.What am I?”小熊抢着说“Panda.”熊猫高兴地和大家玩起来。紧接着老虎吼叫着,大象用鼻子卷着礼物来做客了。Little bear家热闹极了,他拿出水果招待大家。“Help yourself with apples,bananas,pears,grapes.(随便吃)”大家边吃边说“Apples are sweet.Pears are sweet.Oranges are sour.Grapes are sour.I like them.” 小朋友们,故事演完了,你什么时候请同学们做客呢?
二、教学设计
1. 复习动物名称。
教师在黑板上画大森林,让学生说说森林里有哪些动物,学生边边用英语说,老师边画:rabbit,monkey,panda,tiger,elephant等。边让学生模仿动物的声音、形态,如老虎吼叫,小猴子爬树等,让学生动起来,说起来,加深其对单词发音的印象。学生如有发音不准,老师可带读一下,纠正发音。
在教学中,利用可操作性语言,通过让学生动起来,说起来,激发学生的学习兴趣。
2. 复习英语句子。I can„.教师问学生,What can they do? 森林中的小动物会做什么呢?有的学生说The monkey can climb.老师让他带上小猴子的头饰,让他做出爬树的样子,小朋友滑稽的样子让人乐。(一年级的学生喜欢自我表现,这不仅能满足他们的表现欲,也能达到再次复习单词发音的目的。)又有学生说The rabbit can jump.老师让他带上小白兔的头饰,在“草地”上蹦蹦跳跳。其他学生一起说The rabbit can jump on the grass.(教师要注意,在一个学生站起来说时,其他学生也要认真听,如果那个学生说对了,他们要认真跟着再说一遍,不断重复听说以起到巩固的作用。在课堂中,我要求学生人人有事做,人人要做事。)这时一只“鸟”飞来:I am bird.I can sing.老师及时表扬她自己学造句子。其他小朋友
也不甘示弱:I am tiger.I am panda.I am bear„„促使全班学生都踊跃参与教学活动。(学生在尝试使用新学的语言结构时,往往需要极大的支持和帮助,他需要的是别人的赞扬。老师要频频鼓励学生创造各自的问答和对话,并对学生所作的冒险表示祝贺。以激发所有学生的积极性。)
在此过程中,教师要注意将纠正发音融入游戏之中,避免学生产生说英语时的畏惧心理。没有谁能够不犯错误而学会一门语言。给学生纠正错误时,一定要小心。把它融到活动中去,让学生在不知觉中改正读音,效果最好。
3. 引导学生进入故事情节。
教师扮演小熊,说:“Today is new year.I’ll play the host.Welcome to my house.今天是新年,我要请客。欢迎大家来做客。”教师邀请小鸟:“Welcome!”小鸟说:“Thank you.”教师和小鸟一起唱首“Happy new year.”这时带rabbit头饰的小朋友坐不住了,蹦来做客。“Welcome!”小兔说:“I can jump on the grass.”而后在“草地”上蹦蹦跳跳为大家表演节目。这时小猴子也来了,教师问他:“Hi, Monkey.What can you do?”小猴子说:“I can climb up the tree.”并做爬树状,小猴子的动作把大家都逗乐了。大家看到老师在笑,同学在笑,这样和谐的气氛让他们更敢于表演了。(营造和谐、融洽的课堂气氛。)大老虎来了,大象来了,老师问大家:“Elephant has a long„.”还没等老师说完,学生就说出nose,老师鼓励大家说出“I have a long nose.”要及时表扬敢自己造句的学生。这时,一个学英语很好的学生带着面罩上来,给大家出了个谜语“I am fat.I am black and white.I have two big and round eyes.What am I?”“熊猫。”“太棒了!能教给大家吗?”让其他学生也学说一说。学生兴奋了,一个学生“大吼了一声”。大家高兴地说“Tiger.”课堂气氛活跃极了。
儿童心理语言学家认为,儿童倾向于在自然环境中学习语言。教师要充分运用实物、图片、手势、表演等方法,为学生提供大量正确的语言输入,使学生在一种近似自然的语言学习环境中学习语言。
这时,教师拿出水果模型,边分边说:“apple, pear, banana, grapes, orange „.”学生们高兴的拿着,“吃着”,说着英语。老师说:“Help yourself.”大家都兴奋地假装吃着。老师也装作品尝:“Apples are sweet.Pears are sweet.Oranges are sour.Grapes are sour.I like them.”让学生边动边说,效果好极了。(为下一单元学习水果做了铺垫。)
4. 了解了整个故事情节,并知道如何表演后,老师和学生一起编排,边说,边表演。
5. 学生在班内找同伴表演。
6. 全班一起表演。
这一堂课,同学们在说一说,演一演中,轻松地把句子复习练习了,积极性很高,这节课给学生们留下了深刻的印象。
