Homeless to Harvard
This is a true story from a woman whose name is Liz Murray. The movie named Homeless to Harvard or The Liz Murray Story , for us, it is easy to understand what is meaning inside. In my opinion, it is a touching and inspired story. At the beginning of the movie, Liz’s mother was crazy, because she was eager to find money to buy drugs. It’s obviously that she was a drug addict. The whole frames gave me the impression of the family was in a mess.At the age of 15, she was abandoned by her family, because her mother was sent to the Drug rehabilitation center and her father wasn’t want to raising her.Even her mother was affected by AIDS.What a miserable life that she has!Liz wanted to be loved by her mother, but her mother didn’t do that for her.At last, she had to go to the shelter, in there, she saw many unbearable things.Despite this, she tried to survived and live in, luckily, a teacher changed her life and gave her a chance.Earning the New York Times Scholarship is the mark of her success. In the interview, “My mother never takes care of me, I care of her.” she said. This moved the interviewer. Finally, she went to the university she always dreamed of, Harvard. As far as I am concerned, I was touched by her words, “Never
forgot she love me.” Actually, she loved her mother so much and seldom blamed her mother. And it is worthy to learn from her spirit for never give up and make every effort to achieve her dream. What a strong girl!
